Dr James McCormick initially completed a pharmacy degree in Trinity College Dublin and worked as a community pharmacist in Dublin for several years. He returned to study Medicine in UL GEMS and graduated in 2014. He then completed his intern year in The Mater Hospital in Dublin, with rotations in dermatology, ENT, general practice and colorectal and general surgery. He was accepted onto the North East GP training scheme in 2015 and completed a 6 month paediatric rotation in Temple Street Children’s Hospital, as well as 6-month rotations in emergency medicine, psychiatry and general medicine/cardiology. James completed his GP training in 2019 and his special interests include men’s health, paediatrics, psychiatry and dermatology.
